Thanks, it's a replica of the steamboat that's in service on the Mississippi River at Natchez, Miss.
The replica was my father's-it's about 50 years old (the real one at Natchez is about 150 yrs. old).

Don't Know, but with the bucket seats, glass, & doors, it took four 200 lb. MEN to carry it over to the Ranger chassis & set it in place.
I'm guessing 600 lbs--I'm gonna weigh the truck as is when it comes back from paint.
The bed, fenders, bumper probably weigh 250 lbs, since the bed is not double-walled

I figured you guys were going to count the holes in the block!
I bought an engine hoist from my friend Jeremy, and he says--You gotta take the engine too.

Now the original 2.9 needs fixin---got #2 cyl. w/20lbs. & #5 cyl. blowing green stuff out the gasket above the spark plug hole (why couldn't it be everything wrong on one head).....annnnnnnnnnnnd the electronics are starting to fail one-by-one @ $50 a pop!

While the truck is at the painter(it still runs good enough for the body shop to be able to move it around when they need to)
I'm gonna get the aftermarket Ford engine (350sbc :icon_rofl:) running & use it til I fix the top end on the 2.9.
Then the 350 is going in a ski boat (either in the engine compartment or on the end of the chain in the bow) :icon_hornsup:

if i read that right....your doing a temporary v-8 swap while you fix the 2.9? wouldnt it be cheaper/easier to just yank a blown 2.9 from the junkyard and rebuild it?
