So I wasn't sure where to post this thread but I picked this just in case I do it. I like the look of caddy tails but a lot of people have them...so heres my idea.

I was looking around the wreckers for ideas and I found this.

Now I have thrown ideas around with my buddies and my girl and I have narrowed it down to 3 possibilities. Let me know what you think will work and what you think will look good/bad.

1. Full skin shaved tailgate and rollpan with the lights sitting how they are on the car...slanted out and upwards.

2. Caddy tail design just sitting straight vertical in the stock tail location.

3. In the rollpan sitting straight horizontal.

I like the first option as when I bag it next spring...I can't use the bed anyway. But let me know what you think.

Not bad, and those will definitely give it more of a "Cruiser" look.. What length are they? I think caddy's are about 18" long so those might fit in vertical quite nicely..

Take a look at monte carlo 3rd brake lights mounted vertical, real slim but done right they would look good in the back of a ranger.

heres a link to a picture of a Ranger with the lights.. This is one of my fav mini truckin articles ever..

I am thinking option 2 now as well. I don't think the completly shaved tailgate would look as good on the square body style.

They are just under 12 inchs long from bezel to bezel so they will fit PERFECT vertically.

I was watching muscle car today on Spike and I thought how sick would the split tail lights from a 68 Road Runner be mounted vertically....add that as option 4 hahaha

You should get a pair of those tail lights off of a Caterpillar 797, that way the WHOLE rear end will be nothing but light.

Now THAT would be different........................ :icon_thumby:
