Ok, heres the deal, its gettin close to winter and I figured I should fix the heater fan in the old 86 since it stopped. I go to the local autoparts store and get a replacement motor and install it and now she wont start!! I had to pull the air cleaner to do it and I have checked the wiring and nothing is unpluged WTF! I can prime the intake with fuel and it runs........any ideas?

You were working right there in the area of the fuel pump relay. I would check the plugs on both the fuel pump and EEC relays. Take a small punch and push the wires into the back side of the plugs to make sure they have not pulled out while you were pulling the blower motor.

There is also a 2-wire rectangular connector, usually just under where the blower motor is, that feeds to the fuel pumps (an '86 will have two pumps).

Maybe that got diconnected/disturbed?

OK, I cant find anything unpluged or any wires pulled. I did find 3 plugs that went knowwhere though. a red one, a single wire plug, and a round black plug, but cant find there mates. They also look like they havent been plug in to anything for a long time. I need to get a wire diagram for this thing and start checking voltages and such, I do hear a whine and click when the key is turned on though.

Those connectors sound like the diagnostic hook-ups. They usually are between the heater box and the cover that hides the relays.

Well I finally got around to playing with the truck (and got a manual and wire diagram) and it turned out to be the fuel pump relay (I guess it didnt like being touched). I got it to work again with the old one, but for $12.00 I replaced it.:yahoo:
