Sorry if this is a stupid question but Will this work on a 2009 emblem? I wanna get one of them on my tailgate to make my truck look newer and I'd like to paint it black to match my rims and future taillights
Yes, but it is a lot bigger, so just be a little more careful when removing it from the base/ and heating it.

As long as it isnt a gel emblem it will work. you can tell if its gel if you can leave your finger nail imprint in it for a few seconds.

tried this today on my '00 mustang.... failed miserably. i tried using the old emblem instead of a new one, and it just sort of self-destructed. the lettering didn't come off with the rest of the center section, and it just basically sucked.

ordered in a new one though.... gonna try it again.
