Update:

She's all done! Mostly...

Couldn't find a shop in town that would torch off those bolts quick without having an appointment. So I called up a mechanic apprentice buddy, and we went to his shop. Had them off in about 15 minutes. Then decided what the hell, lets do it all there. Started at 9:30, had the flywheel out by eleven twenty. Took it to the shop, they were closed early... but a couple guys were workin in the back still. Went in the receiving door, and on a strictly cash deal had it back in an hour. Got everything all put back together and bolted in by just after 3.

It is so much better now, and everything went so smoothly. The rear main wasn't even leaking, and the shift rail plugs had already been taken care of (someone siliconed the crap out of them).

Why I said mostly: I don't think I bolted the t-case linkage on correctly. It goes to 4hi, but can go one click past it... and it goes to neutral, but not to 4lo. Another day I will crawl under and look, should be an easy fix. There was a plastic bushing on that huge bolt on the linkage, and it basically disintegrated in my hands. Anyone know what thats called?

And a last question... The pedal doesn't catch till its almost all the way back up, but I assume thats till the clutch is wore in. Any ideas on roughly how long that will be?

We actually just left the tcase bolted to the tranny, didn't even drain any fluids. I had an 11 am deadline to make to have the flywheel machined, so we were going as fast as possible. Basically hit every bolt with the impact, and just let them drop on the floor as we moved on to the next one. Picked everything up and sorted it out later :headbang:.
