Hi,

I’ve got a 94 ranger with a 3.0L and when I am driving and put the clutch in it revs to 4000rpm and takes 5 -10 seconds to settle. Thought it was the idle control valve but that did not correct the issue. Any ideas? any help,is appreciated thx

My credo
Crossed threads are tight threads.
you might have a vacuum leak somewhere, or intake leak. you can do the cigar test, or be a crazy idiot like me and spray something flammable around near intakes and listen if the rpms increase. But RPM issues could be a million things, its a common thing...I say do some detailed search and you should find some answers. I usually type in my truck and the issue using few but detailed words, and add "forum" at the end in the search bar.
