Hi to all at The Ranger Station!
Bought my first FORD and it seems pretty good so far! I did a lot so far with info I found here so I guess it's time to sign up!
My problem today is; I was putting a cold air intake in and found there were NO wires to the IAT sensor. I looked everywhere and there just not there. I am trying to find the pin-out #'s in the EEC connector so I can just run new wires from there, Someone in the past was delete happy under the hood! it also had straight pipe for exhaust, no cat, no muff. I took care of that! I also eliminated my EGR and took care of ECU for that!
What I need to know is where those IAT wires should go! Are they both in the EEC ? If so what are there pin out #'s ? I cant trace them from the air box so I have to start from the other end. I've searched for 3 days for these #'s and HERE might be my last hope! I'm waiting for a wiring diagram but I'm not great with those! I do have a #'s map for the EEC but don't know what #'s those IAT wires are! I was told they come from the ECU.
I'm hoping someone here knows! Please Help

Howdy, HomeBuiltBikes!

Welcome to TRS!

You probably might have more luck posting your question in the 4 Cylinder forum section or the General Discussions section (which would later get transferred to the 4 Cylinder section):

Glad you joined, and hopefully we can get your answer squared away. Personally, I haven't done too much with the 2.3L, but hopefully someone else can chime in.

Other key words you could try searching with could be: MAF (mass airflow sensor by the airbox), or IAC (idle air control valve, which is usually close to the throttle body).

Being delete happy cannot be good in this case anymore!

I can go home and check my Ranger to where my wires lead, but I've got a '97 4.0L. The wires are getting run back to the computer, but without a wiring diagram, I couldn't tell you for sure.
