Hi folks, been reading quite a bit in this forum and I figured I'd finally post.

I've got a 1983 4x4 Ranger that came with a 4 cylinder. I gave that motor away and dropped in a very small 2.6 liter V6. Didn't improve it one bit. LOL So my plans are to someday buy the drive train out of a 1996 or 97 Explorer with a 5.0 V8. But I do have a question right off the bat to any of you. Has anyone ever put the nose/front end of an early model Bronco on one of these Rangers? I was thinking a Bronco from between 1966 to 77 on the front of my Ranger, with a long bed, wouldn't look too bad. What do you guys think?

Welcome to TRS

concerning the EB front end , i think it would be unique , i know CopyKat has the EB front clip on his 87 Bronco II , so for info about the conversion you may want to talk to him

Thanks for the reply! Didn't think I was gonna get one after a few days. LOL

This project truck is gonna take me a very long time. Right now I'm trying to find a job overseas......again. I worked in Korea for about 12 years with the U.S. Army, then for 2 more years in Japan. I figure I'll save some money, pay off the house, build a big garage, then play with all my toys.

Plans for the Ranger are 5.0 motor (or bigger), complete drivetrain from an Explorer, lift it a little to make everything fit, maybe custom interior, and maybe the custom front clip.

My other toy is my 1969 Mustang thats already customized. But I'd like to put an 8-71 blower with injection on a 427 FE motor in it. I've already got a 390 which I could easily bore it out to the 427. It just wouldn't be the sideoiler.
