Hello my name is TJ I have a 92 ranger regular cab 2 wheel drive one day it will eventually be bagged and laying body with dually wheels on it and a V8 diesel. Hopping i can get some pointers and expert help form everyone here. :3gears:

Welcome to the Station TJ! Let's get some pics of your 92 up. As for a diesel V8, go for a Duramax 6.6L or maybe a Cummins 5.9L straight six. Both are fantastic engines, and let's face the facts people, and I know I'm gonna get flak for this, but Chevy and Dodge make better diesels. Both can make fantastic power with just a few bolt ons. Be sure to get HEAVY DUTY engine mounts so you don't overwhelm the truck with the weight of the engine, and compensate for the extra weight with a set of heavy duty springs in the front and an alignment. duramax is pricey. hell 40 pounds of electronics.


a simple twin turbo 6.5 mechanical with a 4l80 would be the ticket.

easiest to fit and very light.

Well with the 6.6L Duramax you get what you pay for, but the 6.5L is damn good too.

we will see what is possible and impossible lol the only problem is Money$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ lol and to the V8 diesel it wouldnt really be a V8 i was leaning towards a 5.9 l cummins straight six form the early 90s

Get the 5.9L then. Great engine! Just be sure to get one that isn't the flawed 53 class block and make a dowel pin stay and tighten up the gearcase bolts.

ive seen a cummins inline 6 diesel powered 98-00 ranger. it seems to be a bit lowered. looks, sounds and runs killer.

i know ur were just jackin with me man lol but really it having the money to do everything is going to be the hard part. and ill try to find one that not the flawless 53 and I'm not sure exactly what u said about the dowel pin. But i really don't know much about any thing of diesel so I'm hoping to get help form anyone that will offer ur knowledge to me thanks again for the welcome party

Welcome to the forums! We have a couple dually ranger nicly done too, several V8 powered rangers. A couple diesel rangers, the twin turbo 6.0 power stroke one is the most awesome and we have several rangers layin frame just a matter of time till some one put it all together. You'll just have some big shoes to fill. Good luck!

I kinda figured i would have a lot of expatiation's to up hold going in to all of this lol and i was just going to put the a diesel in it then i seen a guy on here that has his 05 ranger i thing with duallys to match his wife's f350 but mine will be sitting under the original bed with noooooo flare sides lol
