Thank you Rearanger! You can use white lithium grease. It sticks and will clean off easily. Any residue will quickly liquify when engine hot and mix with engine oil. You may have to degrease mating surfaces of cylinder head/block before installing gaskets.
This job is going to take a considerable amount of time considering the time of year, and lack of proper facilities. I have about 1 hour a day.
I am having difficulty removing the fuel lines from the fuel rail. I have the proper tool, but cannot seem to get it to engage and, therefore, disengage the line.
Also, in order to remove the lower manifold, Haynes Manual says "This requires a Torx driver bit"
...very helpful Haynes!
What size is it? T45? T30?
I have scoured the webernet, and have even called ford directly, to determine the proper (Torx) bit size. This is a budget build, so I would prefer to buy the proper bit, use it, and return it
Knowing the proper 'Torx' size would be very helpful.
If anyone can enlighten me about this I would be eternally grateful!
Thanks again!
