Yes but you can't run those compression ratios on flex fuel engines because pump grade gas cant handle it.E85's high octane level allows you to run higher compression therefore making more horsepower. somewhere in the range of 12:1 or 14:1 if memory serves me.
No it is not. BTUs is BTUs, the same engine will have less power and fuel economy when running E85.Please read some of my previous posts. That statement is incorrect.
