I recently have been chipping away at some front end suspension and slowly have been noticing that there is more work to be done than expected (tie rod, low ball joint, upper ball joint). I figured it might be best for me to just buy a kit and completely fix up the front end suspension.
I began using Mevotech products -- I like their build quality. I typically buy from RA and I found they have a Front End Kit For $300 <--
Comes with both Driver and Passenger sides.
Now, mind you. I am not expert mech -- I only have a set of jackstands. I am wondering what input any of you have with doing a complete Front End replacement and what to look out for. I did find excellent videos from A1auto(dot)com via YouTube detailing the Front & Lower control arm replacement (including torsion bar removal) as well as a video on tie rod ends for Ford Explorer of the same year bracket. I also have both a Haynes and a Chilton for my Ranger.
Any insights or questions encouraged!
