finally got to take my truck out after i welded the frond diff (dana 35) did the brakes and wheel bearings etc. drove about 4 hours and when the road got windy i started hearing this clanking and grinding noise when going around turns. maybe wheel bearings? took it on an 8 mile moderate terrian trail and the clanking and grinding kept up but didnt seem to affect the way it wheeled eccept the steering is sloppy. it cant be the radius arm bushings because i extended mine and am running hiems. not to happy with the ttb:bawling: any sugestions on what this noise could be?

It can't be that because it does it in 2wd with the hubs unlocked. And when in 4x4 it's defiantly still locked

sounds like a maintenance issue, not the axles fault. Jack up the side that's making noise and dig in, gotta be wheel bearings, ball joint or tie rod end if I had to guess.

Ah c'mon it ain't that bad. I've been wheelin mine for a few years now with no problems...just general maintenance. SAS is sweet yeah but I haven't broke anything yet so I have no reason to SAS. :icon_thumby:

I would tear into it and see whats going on. Most likely a bearing and something.

The TTB isnt all that bad. A SAS would be just as much of an issue with bad bearings or ball joints etc. I wheeled my TTB for quite a while and never had any issues with it!
