Engine tranny swap

I have a 1988 ford aerostar with rebuilt 3.0 liter and rebuilt a4ld with less than 20k on motor and tranny will the motor/tranny out of the aerostar fit and bolt into 1995 ranger 2 wheel drive with 3.0 liter/a4ld tranny. Do i have to change wiring harness or anything else for basic bolt in swap.

95's did not come with A4LDs. A4LDs were last used in a 94 and went away with the OBD2//EEC-V switch. So no, it won't work unless you change the 95 to a complete OBD1/EEC-IV setup.

Ok look at data plate on 1995 ranger tranny code is t so tranny is probably upgrade a4ld the 4r44e. As for engine can i swap harness or a few parts over 2 work with 1995 harness and can old a4ld be made to work in 1995
