So I converted my 2.9 ranger to a 2.3 a while back. Inspection is coming up and I used a 2.3 out of a 93 ranger (no EGR). The computer/harness I got is from a 1990 ranger (EGR). Does anyone know if the 1993 ranger ECM will work with the 1990 harness with maybe just some repining? Inspection is coming up and the current computer isn't happy not seeing the EGR hooked up. Technically I am legal without the EGR since the motor is form a newer model than my 1988. But I don't feel like arguing with an inspector when he sees my check engine light.

The 93 computer should be plug and play.
