Duralast Slave Cylinders?

Anyone running them? Good experiences? Bad Ones? I've got a brand new one in my truck with 500 miles on it and it's leaking! It's under warranty, but i don't wanna replace it if it's not going to hold..and i'm going to have to rip the tranny out AGAIN because i reused duralast parts. Just wanna hear everyones .02

Just go with an OEM slave.

the autozone slaves sucks... great warranty but way too much work to change out...
spend the money and get one from napa or ford...

If you have a pepboys near you they carry the LUK brand slave cylinders which have an upgraded seal to protect against leaking. Never used their stuff before i bought their slave and clutch kit but i had heard very good things about them.

LUK is the OEM clutch for ford. I'm not sure about the slave. I think Ford makes the OEM slaves.

My local ford dealer said they can't get me the slave and it's not in production anymore...the guy i talked to in their parts dept told me that the only OEM one is somewhere in Kansas. i even had our parts department (i work for a nissan dealer) call and see if they could get it under a commercial account, no dice.

Called napa and and they have one in stock. I wonder if autozone will just let me return the slave instead of getting it replaced under warranty.

They will if you raise a big enough stink about it. I've had mine in for a couple years. It's the masters I've had issues with

PB blaster rejuvinates rubber, as it says on the can, and makes rubber more pliable, again..

I've used it, before, on leaking master brake cylinders and slave cylinders with excellent results for stopping the leak, every time, so far..

I just sprayed two or three good squirts into the brake fluid, that's in the reservoir, and it will find it's way down to the leak and stop it..

Before trying this idea, I always use to replace or rebuild a leaking master brake cylinder or slave cylinder, until trying PB blaster to see if it would work for stopping the leak and it always has, each time, I've used it for doing that..

I bought the motorcraft slave from the dealer. First one lasted 120k. They're double the price, but doin a clutch job on these is not pleasant and very time consuming, so I think they're worth every penny over a cheap one.

Pb blaster on rubber...never heard of that one...anyone else ever try it with success?

NEVER had a problem with anything autozone (besides valucraft).
