After scratching my head some I finally figured out a great way to attach the sides of the DDIN touch screen to the front panel of the HVAC/Radio trim panel. 10-32 screws always work well instead of the 5mm bolts (if they came with your radio). Always use a small bit of silicone lube to collect metal debris from the threading into the radio, plus limit the thread insertion to 2-3 turns max. If you are cutting your own screws, don't forget to deburr the sharp edge of the screw. Threading into the plastic front panel is very easy. Simply use a drill driver with a small amount of lube for the threading. Clean the tap well after each hole & go slow, about 3-4 rpm works well. Go slow also on the reverse direction. Hope this helps.
Here is what I went with for the DDIN..... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08YYPY334?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details - Doug
