Coolant Leak

Hello

I have a problem. I seem to have a coolant leak in the lower left corner of the radiator. This happens after it's been ran, and sits . I ran the truck all day yesterday after I re-filled the coolant. This morning for the second day in a row, I come to find a puddle under my truck, but it seems to only leak so much out. I looked in the fins for leaks, but can't find any. The hose looks decent as well. If I had a bad hose it should leak while running which it does not. It's dripping from the lower left corner near the hose connecter, but it doesn't seem like its the hose. Do I need a new radiator? Any input would be a appreciated. Oh, and btw the way I just replaced the a/c compressor on saturday.

I just replace my radiator because it was leaking at the seams between the core and sides. $110 shipped from Rock Auto (at least, for my 2.3 version). Check those seams, it sounds like it's a common item.

Update, It looks like on the bridging above the hose connecter there seems to be two cracks in the plastic (with a bulge). Although I haven't seen it pour from there, it would make sense. It will only leak when the radiator is full. It'll leak until it reaches half way down (which is where the crack is). Engine side is dry. So I guess I'm off for a radiator replacement. Is this a complicated process? What would make it leak all of a sudden, I haven't had an issue till yesterday morning.

Radiators usually don't leak unless they've already been exposed to extreme heat. Check your radiator cap and thermostat. Replacing the radiator is insanely easy. You just remove the hose clamps and the two bolts on the top. I don't think anything holds it at the bottom, it just slides into place.

Definately not the t-stat, or cap. Top of radiator is completely dry. Leaking in drivers side lower corner above hose connector (which is where the crack is). I don't have any over-heating issues. Just this leak. The radiator froze once, not the block or hoses. So I'm assuming that's when the damage happened, and it just finally started to leak.

Radiator changed. There was a huge bulge, along with a crack under the plastic leaking, hopefully its solved thanks fleck

watch out though, I ran my truck with a leaky radiator for awhile and than ended up having to change the whole cooling system. Not to scare you, but I blew a head gasket from driving my 99 3.0 with some coolant missing from the system and the truck never overheated once!
