Stoves are easy to clean up, usually I just have to blow it out with air, tighten fittings if they leak, oil the pump leather and they're good to go. Lanterns are a little more complex. Almost every single one I've gotten has been full of bugs.

Neetsfoot oil is best, I usually use 3-in-1, and have had no issues with it.

Over a month and no new Coleman posts

Fished on Sunday, was hoping for a couple cats but struck out and went to the lake. Caught a bunch of little bluegills. Fillets were tiny, but we fried up some breaded venison steak tips and hush puppies on my big three burner stove. I think this is the first time I've used this stove - the extra burner could come in real handy.

I think this is also the first time I've used my chicken fryer pan - the one on the middle burner - it's like an extra deep skillet, real handy for keeping the oil contained.

I don’t recall any of the post containing new Colmans. Just salvaged and repaired ones.

Cooked brats at the lake again, the 200A got to go to the dance this time





I really like the little thing, I wish the tall vent 200A cases were not so stupid expensive. When I get time (ha!) I would like to make a case for it.

It was rather amusing how fast it burned off all the carbon once it got going.

Cool. Reminds me that i want to get my stove and lantern cleaned and tested before the trail ride.

Yeah... I got my single burner up and running awhile back. I got the lantern out... looked at it... and it's now back sitting on a shelf. I need to have a closer look at it soon...

I put a Stanley French Press Coffee Maker in my Amazon cart... when there is no electric I typically would drink instant coffee. I'm gonna move on up in the world... should work good on my single burner.

I used to do instant coffee when camping. Bought a press for last year’s trail ride and had real coffee. Much better.

Took it to the lake to stretch its legs a little.



I am really pretty impressed with the heat it was capable of and it seemed to have pretty good temp control. Made for a good pot of macaronis.

Ok. I'm tearing into my lantern. Should there be any kind of o-ring/packing here? The little handle is stuff to turn, but does rotate ok. Does this come apart any further for cleaning?

I drained the fuel. The tank was full. I saw this flaky residue. But the fuel was clean and clear otherwise. I ran it into a clean container through the Coleman filtered funnel. So maybe I can still use the fuel.

Currently trying to get the rest of it apart to clean. I have the pump leather soaking in neetsfoot oil (see soup can).

I think the cleaning rod crank is an assembly. There is a packing in there and the nut adjusts the pressure on it.

I think that is why my 220J fireballed in its previous life, it was leaking fuel there because the nut had backed off. And that is kind of out of sight to observe leaking fuel too.

I've seen/tried/been through my share of grills, and this is best one so far. Weber Q1000. I call it my bacon maker.....lowest heat setting once heated up and lay em right on the non stick thick cast iron grill, watch the tray underneath catch all the grease. Its like a George Foreman grill but real.

It works! Probably hasn't been used in 10 years or more. Now I need to order mantles.

That is one of them cheatin' grills with the magic gas!

Technically mine are stoves like the gas stove in a house. Not really a grill.

I have a little kettle weber grill but for a quick run to the lake a charcoal grill is less than optimal.
