Code 543

I got the truck running again, driving to pick my kids up and the CEL comes on, truck runs fine, shut it off load the kids up and bam, no start, i fart with it for about 20 minutes and try again, no go, let it sit for 10 more minutes and it starts, i think it would not start because it was flooded, checked the fuel pressure reg and no gas in the vaccum line, on the way home the code pops on again, truck will restart the haynes manual says that 543 is a secondary fuel pump circuit failure. I need to know where to start with this, any help would be great

Can you hear the fuel pump run when it won't start (prior to cranking)?

Try a new FP relay?

Check pressure at the fuel rail when it won't start?

Check for power and ground at the fuel pump connector?

the truck starts and runs, the code came on only after about 10 minutus of driving, i have done more research on that code and it seems to be an issue between the battery and pcm, i have not drove the truck today but i just went out and it fired right up, i will see how it goes from here, if anybody has any other suggestions on this code let me know

I am having a very similar problem with my 94. runs great almost every time, but every blue moon it wont start and it takes 5-20 mins to get it going again. Did you ever figure out what the issue was?
