check engine light and codes

my motor has had a high idle at least 75 percent of the time i drive. and once in a while the check engine light would come on for a breif min then go away well lately the check engine light has come on every time i get on the high way and here are the codes remember its obd 1 536 brake on off (boo) circuit failure/ not activated during koer. i believe this code is on due to a wireing problem i have, the previous owner chopped up all of the wireing under the dash to install remote lock and start. next code has 3 reasons
538 insufficient change in rpm/operator error in dynamic response check
538 invalid cylinder balance test due to throttle movement during test
538 invalid cylinder balance test due to cid
can any one give me an idea of whats going wrong or help me figure out the problem thank you

You are pressing and releasing the brake pedal and doing the WOT (throttle snap test) when prompted during the self test?
