Hey guys hows it going, I hope I am posting in the the right thread lol. Anyways, I have an 89 2.9l supercab ranger 4wd. I have recently been doing repairs to it. Trying to make it an all around nice truck, but also a pretty badass rig. So here comes my first question/problem. When I am driving the truck there is a rattle from the right front tire. It happens at all speeds but becomes the loudest once i reach about 35mph. It doesnt howl like a bearing and the sound does not get worse as a turn which means its not the cv-joint. I am now stumped. Its bizzare sound. It sound like two peices of metal rattling around. If you have any ideas what this could be that would be great!
Okay part 2, after I fix this rattle, I wont have anymore repairs, so now its upgrade time. I have been going back and forth on swapping the front axle but I dont know what that requires. So my first question in this part is, is it worth the swap and which axle is the easiest? Second, is if I dont switch how reliable and capable is the TTB? Third is what lifts to you recommend for both solid and TTB. At the moment I have a three inch lift that came on the truck. Blocks in the back.
Hopefully I can get some good feed back. Thanks!
