Best frame paint?

I have a sandblasted 95 ranger frame that is unprimered, should have primed it a bit ago, but I have rust inhibitor and there's only a few spots. Anyways. I want to look into primer and possibly a finish coat, so what do you guys recommend? I don't want to see any rust and I want to take this wheeling, and also live in the north east where we get a lot of snow and road salt, so I want something that's going to hold up, I'm gonna be really disappointed if after a few months I start to see surface rust, basically I want it to never rust again. If anyone could tell me what to look into, I'd appreciate it.

I just finished redoing the back end of my frame and underside of the bed and cab in SEM Rust Shield. I was happy with the results, and the reviews of it were very good. I would start with something like that or POR15 as a base coat, I see no reason to topcoat over it but that depends on what kind of results you are looking for.

Yeah, I'm looking into POR15, it seems like it's a lot of work and I have the entire frame and the axles to do. I'm looking for something that's going to last. Completely redoing the truck, making it my toy. Will POR15 work on a sandblasted surface? I have rust converter as well for the bit that started to get surface rust.

From Por15 website:

"POR-15 likes rusted surfaces best. Seasoned metal and sandblasted metal are also good. POR-15 does not adhere well to smooth, shiny surfaces, but will adhere well to those surfaces with the proper preparation."

I did por15 on the back half of the frame. one quart was enough to do it and have some left over. if you are doing the axles and other suspension parts, two quarts will probably be enough to do the entire back end under the bed and the frame rails and cross members under the cab.

What ever you use as a base coat, put a good thick layer of clear down when you are done.

Alright, I'm definitely going to have to figure out how to get this por15 done properly. Unless theirs something better out there.

I was very pleased with Monstaliner's Chassis Saver. You can get it at most Napa parts stores.

I like MasterSeriesCT (see http://www.masterseriesct.com ) silver MCU paint. It's similar to Por-15. MCU easily adheres to bare or primed metal. I didn't like their black AG-111 topcoat, but you can use any topcoat. See ( http://imgur.com/a/CKVUo ) for my photos.

I've had good luck with spray can rustoleum rust reformer did a whole trailer without removing the surface rust. Sat in the rain a few months and no rust, bubbling, anything. Painted it a while later.
