In pulling the bed on my 84 ranger one of the nut clips was broken, had to find a replacement. 12mm x 1.75 according to the tap I tried.
At least in my part of the world, not so easy. Pull-a-Part had a few Rangers, but nothing with the bed already off. Nearest Ford dealer didn't have a clue, couple auto body supply shops didn't either.
Ended up downtown at a Ford dealer, who had to pull out a book to cross reference numbers but he came up with the nut!
Part number is N803334 S439. List price at $11.88, sold it to me for $9.50 just cause I'm a nice guy lol.

This would be a good addition to the Tech library.

know what else works geat.. cut the nut section off the clip and weld a 1/2 nut to it.. and just use a normal bolt.. works great!

Yup, I got 6 of them clipped to my frame.

FYI, fastenal sold me 1/2" speed clip nuts right off the shelf. Had to buy a box of 20 though...

I think I had the same problem and ended up just using a big washer and a slightly longer bolt and nut...but that is good information because if I ever have to order that part I'm calling UrbanRedneckKid and swapping something like a bottle of maple syrup and a carton of reservation smokes for the set...lol

go to a ace hardware, they usually have in bins, speed locks, I bought 3 ft section of all thread rod in metric size. Actually the one I went to was referred by one of the local nut bolt shops as having the best supply of stuff like this.

Working in the Heavy Construction industry, I have come to love the words "I used anti-seize on it" copper or platinum, 10 years later, after all the crap a dozer has gone through, the bolts come out with just a small tap on the wrench, one time..........
