The shop said there is a good chance they can fix it. With rising cost/scarcity of new/used vehicles the insurance company has not been calling as many a total loss.
Is it reasonable to ask if they would be willing to paint the entire truck and new bumper black for some extra money out of my pocket? They will have to paint the new fender and I think a new primed bumper is cheaper than even a used chrome one. I do not want to piss them off with 'special' requests tho...
Edit: I wish I lived beside a rockauto. A primed new bumper is $65, add $529 to ship it to me
Not many Mazda's at the junkyards around here - one guy told me it is not really worth him keeping many vehicles older than 2010 models.
