alright, im at wits end trying to figure this one out... battery will be drained to the point of no start after 2 hours... tried 3 different batterys and the same effect... the only thing that stops the drain is unhooking the alternater... the plug that goes to the solidnoid and she will start... checked the wires no short... had the alternater tested and its fine... output from the alternater is 14.7v... its the factory alternater could it still be bad... maybe a diode is bad??? anyway just wondering if i should get a new alternater or is there something else i can try to fix this deliema... dont wanna spend the money if i dont have to... driving a 98 blazer now (POS) so please help me get my ford back on the road and put that chevy back in the garage where it belongs :) thanks
