How does Autofab bend cast ranger beams and use them on prerunners and stuff? Wouldn't that make them more prone to break?

So could I bend cast beams if I didn't heat them up? Not for any more than 4" of lift, maybe less.

All I want to know is, can I bend cast beams safely? There must be a way, or else Autofab would be sued left and right. If not, I can always go to the pick and pay and grab a set of forged beams.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I think at this point, I will just go with forged beams. It is worth it for safety and peace of mind. Again, thanks.

Sorry for starting up my old thread, but I had a quick question (or two) about bending forged beams:D Does it matter where in the beam I bend them? And if I heat them up with a torch, could I bend them with my 12ton HF press?

In case people were still wondering about Autofab and Camburg bending cast beams....
http://www.dezertrangers.com/vb/fab-shop/114667.htm

Oh and about that comment when I asked about how large of a press I would need to bend cast beams cold, I was basing it off of Autofab saying that they have a 100 ton press that they bend beams with. I was thinking that they were bending them cold:D
