Are these D27 auto locking hubs complete assemblies?

I just received these auto locking hubs for the D27 on my 86 Ranger. I am converting it back to auto locking hubs. It has been a while since I have messed with these. And when I did I was getting rid of them in favor for manual hubs. I want to make sure I have ALL the parts I need to make them work. Is everything here? I remember a woodruff (for a lack of a better word) key that slid into the notch on the spindle. Or was that only on the D35?

The 28 and 35 have all the same parts, except the stuff for the 35 is bigger. It looks like all the parts are there, but those cam locks look rough.

You do need the woodruff keys for that notch or the bearing nuts will back out.

The parts don't interchange.....they are different sizes.

Aside from lug nuts, radius arms, and springs there are no interchangeable parts between the 28 and the 35.

I just read what I typed and there were some words missing. I really need to start proof reading my posts. I meant, do the keys interchange?

Another question, aren't the hub nuts for the auto lockers and manuals different?

I am not sure, but I think the 35 keys are wider. All I know for sure about those keys is that they do a number on the nut if you forget to take them out.

Yes the nuts are different. The manual setup has the two four-prong nuts with the key washer between them. The auto uses the big hex nuts. The manual hubs do not fit over the nuts for the auto hubs. I'm really not sure why you wouldn't be able to use the manual nuts with auto hubs.

This is the first time I have gone with auto lockers over manuals. I remember having to switch out the nuts for the manuals. I wonder if the manual nuts will work. I never thought of it.

the manual nuts will NOT work with auto hubs, the cams for the auto fit onto the sleeve that is part of the nut.
