Anyone know where these rubber pieces go?

I have a 2004 4x4 Ranger with the 4.0l SOHC and I believe the M50D-R1HD manual transmission (and an electronic t-case). I pulled the transmission to replace the clutch and these two pieces of rubber fell out. I know the one on the left goes on the shifter because I saw it before I took out the tranny however I don’t remember which way it goes. I don’t know about the piece on the right. It does fit over the other rubber piece so I was thinking it might go like that but I’m not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can see the piece in the picture on the left is torn. It should not have that ragged edge on it. So it's part of a larger piece of rubber.

Those go in top of your transmission shifter

Those are both part of the shifter seal. The one on the left goes around the shifter and was attached to the piece that is bolted onto the trans but has ripped off (very common.) The piece on the right goes on top of the one on the left.
