Ok, I gotta say, I bought a 1992 Ford Ranger 2.3L 5 speed off a local junkyard lot for a little of nothing, and have crammed my own 10K on it in a little under 5 months. I needed a truck for some general hauling, and my other truck is still in pieces while it gets a very slow going frame off resto-rodding. Ever since I bought it, I have been lurking on TRS, picking up info and watching some of the technical threads. I haven't done a whole lot to the little red ranger, but have plans for some bigger wheels and tires. Nothing radical, just going from the 195-70R14's to a nice set of 225-75R15's. I got my first truck about 15 years ago when I turned 16, a light blue 1987 Ford F150 that wasn't fast enough to get out of it's own way, but even at being a 2wd, it could tow a building into the next state, if needed. I sold that one, for something a little more fuel efficient. Several trucks later, we arrive at the Ranger, and I find myself looking for any excuse to drive it.
Anyway, I gotta say thanks for all the help you've given me, and with a little luck, I can give some help back!

Welcome to TRS. I used to live in Bolingbrook and Woodridge. Nice areas in Illinois. Cannot wait till Easter when we will be returning to have a minication in Chi town.

Yeah, here in central IL, it's all flat and corn and soybeans, but up north and down south are very nice. I make pretty regular trips to Peoria, and head south of Carbondale several times a year. Never really cared for Chicago, but then again, I'm not exactly what you'd call a big city type of person.
