I bid ya'll farewell for a while leaving a nasty disgusting civilian, and took a trip down south where some nice guys the Marine Corps likes to call Drill Instructors took care of me very well and taught me many things... like screaming loud, killing people, and how to come very close to drowning in your own sweat :icon_rofl:

Now I'm back for a few days a United States Marine, I leave again for Marine Combat Training on the 15th.

Any which way, I know a lot of you were very happy and proud to hear I had enlisted, so here I am to creep around for a few days.

If you're interested there's some pictures of my platoon, 3053 (India Company) on the Parris Island facebook page. Not that I can actually be seen from where I was in the ceremony formation...

More than welcome, and I did get in a lot better shape. Basic has changed a lot, thanks to the mothers of america, but it's all there still. I've still had bosses that could teach drill instructors on how to scream and make insults, so I went well prepared. Best thing I've done in my life, really should've went in earlier.

A little update on the ranger. Of course I blew the 4.0 before I shipped, and gave the truck to a family friend. He JUST found a motor last week, that was a suitable replacement (also that his mechanic would even think about installing). So he'll get to drive it around and use it for his landscape business once the work is done (all the guys in Jersey, keep an eye out). Maybe once I get a permanent station (not that I need a vehicle until then) I'll buy the old girl off him for whatever he's put into her. I just had too much in it myself to actually sell it.

So I'll lurk around a few minutes a day if I get the chance.

Congrats Marine!

I was a Navy Corpsman so I have a soft spot for my Marines.

Good luck brother. Stay safe!

Ouch. That hurts man. Especially from someone from the Jersey side of Philly. :icon_rofl:

Anyway, glad those drill instructors were able to clean you up and make you a respectable kinda critter.

Critter...

Had many arguments with the platoon guide on the proper use of critter. He's from Levittown.

At least I'm not from the New York side of anything Haha.

This is my weapon, this is my gun...this one's for fightin', this one's for fun. But I NEVER long for the days of Chaplain Charley and his magic Jesus show.

At least New York lets people pump their own gas.

And a "critter" is anything alive, previously alive, or with fur.

Thank you ADSM... at least someone gets it right lol

All the stations that I frequent let me pump my own gas, but sometimes it's cool because one Wawa I go to often I know a lot of the guys that work there so I get to BS when I was the windows.

It is rather stupid that we can't pump our own damn gas either way. But then again, some of the people in NJ shouldn't be driving, let alone playing with flammables.
