Like everything else it would have bern easier without the MN rust, but it wasn't awful, I think this is everything:
- strip interior
- remove headlights/grille
- remove fenders
- disconnect throttle cable
- disconnect tranny linkage
- disconnect heater hoses
- disconnect radiator overflow
- disconnect AC lines
- disconnect engine wiring harness (from firewall and all clips/grounds on inner fenders
- disconnect cab/frame ground straps
- disconnect brake lines at master cylinder
- disconnect harness at cab floor
- remove air intake
- remove two radiator bolts and lift out of lower grommets (probably should have removed)
- disconnect wiring harness at firewall
- disconnect vacuum lines to vacuum ball
- remove 6 cab mount bolts
We ended up lifting it off with the boom of the backhoe after jacking it up a few times to make sure I didn't forget anything. There is a good how to on this site documenting the late model to 93-97 cab swap that I've been following, and that was really helpful.
