well i thought maybe i would bring this back from the dead , this truck has been my on and off daily driver for some time now and unfortunately i decided some changes have to be made , just going to do what is needed to make the truck run and look great and get semi-decent fuel mileage , hopefully that is this summers project

here is a list of the plan for this truck
  • replace door and handles on utility box
  • repaint and rewire box
  • new fenders
  • cab corner and rocker
  • paint
  • factory aluminum rims
  • chip
  • intake
  • exhaust
  • new stack kit
  • yellow light
  • toolbox
  • class v hitch
  • ranch hand front bumper
  • custom rear bumper
  • new radio
  • new speakers
  • new window stickers
  • gauges
  • needed engine repair

well i still have yet to get anywhere , but starting the 10th of this month i am diving head first into this thing , i have to currently stop driving it because the rocker panel is basically gone and the oil cooler is about to wipe itself out , so it is going to go under the knife and come out a whole new truck , there will be lots of pictures soon

The rocker panels disapearing is pretty common on those...I work at a bodyshop, we bandaided this thing a few weeks ago...basically just so the door would close and stay closed, there was nothing left of the floor either, guy had just set a piece of sheetmetal in there.

Same thing happened to an F-150 my buddy drove for a couple months last year, the door flew open while he was going around a turn, hes lucky he didn't fall out, because the floor was also rotted around where the seat belt bolted down!

I installed a fire extinguisher into my 88 f250, on the floor by the drivers seat, used some good size self tapping screws, they wouldn't tighten down, and when I pulled I pulled all 4 screws out with one hand and no effort... Turns out I only screwed into the slush mat, as the floor more closely resembled Swiss cheese
