So i have looked over about 35 pages, and have tried searching hundreds of time but cant seem to find anything that really helps me.

I want to put an 04 edge front end onto my 94 ranger, i know this can be done but i cant seem to find the info that i need on doin it.

1. Parts- I need to know every part i will need to do this.

2.Mods- Is there any mods that have to be done(things that are not bolt on)

3. Wiring- Will the 04 headlights work with my 94 wiring or will i need to modify them.

4. Helpfull Tips-It would be really helpfull if someone could give me a run down on this, where to start, how hard this is. Just stuff like that.

5. Pics- If someone could has pics of trucks in the process of the swap and finished.

Anything at this point will help, im kinda lost right now. I know i am goin to do this no matter what, and would really like it if i didnt screw up my truck.

Basically you need the Header panel, fenders, hood, grille and headlights... As for mods it should just be a bolt on swap...

Would an 03 or 04 hood bolt onto a 97 ranger?
I'm thinking of just modding my grill to jut out a bit and use like an 03 or 04 hood. If not.. perhaps I will just add fiberglass to the hood to get that style. Your thoughts?
(I dislike that straight line front end and want the jutting nose of 04 ideally)

i thought you had to change to a 98+ radiator core support too, however I could be wrong.

Not for just the hood though? IF he wanted the grill and lights then yeah but if its just the hood he can pop it on and modify his current grille.

I just finished my front end conversion yesterday. I have a 93 and changed it to an 04+. It was a much bigger project than I had planned. My best advise is to buy a 98+ truck or find a 98+ parts truck. I had no problem lining up and welding the core support but, everything that attaches to the support did not fit. I had to make custom mounts for the radiator, AC condenser and modify my trans cooler and lines. It took 2 full weekends to get it together and I still have to mount my bumper.

Here is a partial list of what I had to buy.
Fenders, Hood, Grill, Header panel, Headlights, Park Lights, Hood Latch, Hood striker, Hood prop.

You also need a left hood hinge but since it is welded to the firewall, I just modified my original.

If you have any further questions just let me know.
