Hi All
94 Ranger
The new window motor I just installed is fine going up but going down will not stop at the bottom.
It continues to try to run making that bumpety bumpety sound.
Is there a relay or something that controls the power to stop the motor when the window is fully opened or closed?
The rest of the story is that the original motor would work fine going up but going down when it got to the bottom then nothing, it would not come back up out of the door. No noise no movement or anything, it was as if I was not pressing the button.
I put a piece of tape on the window and found that when the window was all the way down if I pulled on the tape it would move and start working.
Installed a new A1Cardone motor but it made an extremely loud whining noise.
warrantied that one.
The next 3 replacements, all the same brand, worked fine going up but when the window got to the bottom they would not stop, just the bumpety sound as the motor tried to keep going.
I removed the last one I got, pulled the cover and the 3 round things inside the gears were intact.
So Now I'm wondering if there is a relay somewhere that is supposed to kill power when the window stops moving at the top and at the bottom?
Thanks in advance for any help on this.
