92 v 8 in to 96 ranger

i know my 96 is obd II and that the 92 is obd I i found a 92 f- 150 4x4 with a new motor 5.0 auto thruck is rusted out the power trian is good is there any reason i can not make my truck obd I if i strip both trucks and just put everthing v8 in to mine it sould work right??? iv done efi 4cly to carb v8 2.3 efi to 3.0 efi sould be about the same right??? i should be able to get it all for 200 buck that why and im haveing a hard time fiinding a 5.0 explorer with low kms the right year

If your just going to put everything from the 5.0 in your truck it will work just fine.

thats was the plan gut the 92 then my trunk in the spring and do the swap and a body lift to i hear that helps there is no emissions crap hear so i dont care any one know what other parts i might need???

i'm sorry, but that is painful to read.
you need to check with your state for emission regulations. some states make obd2 vehicles pass by plugging in, no dyno runs.
you might need an obd2 harness and computer to make it compliant.

i live in canada and where i live we dont have any emission so that does not matter. if it has cats your good to go.
