Alright, im lookin at converting my 2wd 79 f-250 into a 4wd truck, i want to keep it coil sprung runnin a 44 from a f-150 and 8 lugger outters, but as far as steering etc, im at a loss as to how imma make it work

Your best bet would be to boxthe frame in the front on the drivers side and use a stock 1/2 ton 4x4 79 ford steeringbox. Then just hook upthe steering on the dana 44 using the stock draglink. I have all of these parts if you need them

ya, i could use em, id need the sterring shaft and all from the column to the box though with relocating to the front side of the axle, i know basically what i need todo, just tryin to get the parts together

take a 2x6x.188 steel tubing and gusset the front of the frame. take that center support out. more room. have to get a 79 4x4 steering box and pitman arm. the shaft is thicker then the 2wd model. buy a u joint for your steering shaft to make the extension. really easy to do i have done 7 of those trucks. need more help just pm me.
