4x4 manual trans for a 302 carb.

what 4x4 manual trans will mate up to a old 302 carb.? Like from a mustang or something.

96 plus v6 150

So that would mate up no problem? Some where I heard that the newer f150 trans wont mate to the old carb. setup..

iirc...the 96 to 04 or 07 or so.... had an essex based v6, it has the windsor pattern and works with the reg setups

I found a s5-42 ZF trans which was out of a 88 f250. It was just sitting under some shelter at a junk yard. it works great. I believe all 302's use the same bolt pattern so a M5OD,ZF, or a T5 for 2wd will work.
