Cam sensor and EGR are just for the computer

EDIS-6 are pretty built proof, only time I have read of having to replace one was in a front end collision, it was cracked, but they are also not that expensive new, and used is fine
Ford Parts has them for $83: https://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts/ford-module-ignition_f4zz-12k072-b.html

Good site for used parts: https://www.car-part.com/

1990-1994 Ranger or Explorer 4.0l are fine to use
Manual/Auto doesn't matter, neither does 2WD or 4x4

I ordered a crank pos sensor just for shits. Do you think the exsposed shielding on the wiring is a issue? I would thing if the wiring was at fault I would have running issues while driving. Especially dirt roads and stuff like that?

Shielding shouldn't matter, until wires are running near/with other wires, or if near spark plug wires which they are not
