Hopefully a year from now I will have completed my 1986 Crown Victoria project. I need to get the car painted and build another engine for it. When I yank the stock 5.0L engine out, I may consider putting it into my 1992 Ranger. However I came up with a couple of questions about it though. 1) The 86 CV has speed density and the 92 Ranger has mass air. I assume that I have to convert the SD 86 5.0L to a mass air HO engine because the timing is different right? 2) Will the 5-speed behind the 3.0L hold up to the torque of the 5.0L engine? I drive like an old man in that truck; will this let the tranny live behind the V8?
