Ok, so here's the deal, I have just aquired a 2001 Ford ranger XLT, nothing special, but there is a catch.
The ignition key lock cylinder had been tampered with and is no longer usable, I am in the process of receiving a new one from e-bay, but the gear that is inside the cylinder has fallen out of place.
Does anyone know what position it is supposed to be in if the ignition key lock cylinder was in the "drive" position? I assume its in that position only because that's how you would remove it. Any advice or pictures would be greatly appreciated!
