2.3 to 4.2 swap

I have a manual 2.3 ranger that is just gutless. I have a wrecked f-150 with the 4.2 in it. I'd like to put the 4.2 into the ranger and I was wondering what kind of mods I would need to do to make it work since I can't find anyone else who has done this particular swap. The reason I want to do the 4.2 is because I have the whole truck for donor parts such as wiring harness and computer.

Isn't the 4.2 based on the 3.8? If so, see the tech article.
