2.3 intake manifold differences

Which generation manifold have better flow? The older 4shot revolver style or the online style on the later models? This is for between 84 to i believe 91 4 plug motors

They all flow the same stock really, for performance you should use the old 4 plug style as you call it revolver style. It has the best performance potential.

What about the throttle bodies? Because my truck has the older style intake and the throttle bady has the main piece where the butterfly is and then a secondary little tube next it and they both connect to the air box, ive always been curious what the little one is for?
