Greetings and everyone may already know this solution but after a long day of bloody knuckles I soaked it in PB Blaster and slide hammer made it easy.

Yep! I also bought the hose assembly with the infamous plastic tee but it checks out OK. I probably should replace it now @ 150k.

My credo
I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
That looks like fun.

I am going to change out the water pump soon and that looks like the best way to do it.

A few questions

What size slide hammer did you use? Is it a very small one?
I see that you took out the radiator to give you more room. Did the A/C condenser get in the way of the slide hammer?

Thanks for the help.

I tapped on the bolt hole ears to rotate it.
with the thermostat removed you can hit the backside of the pump with a long bolt or whatever.
it seizes in due to corrosion.
