1999 Supercab Turn Sign Circuit Dead

Turn signals stopped working. Checked fuses with key on, no power to fuses. So what is ahead of fuse panel on this circuit? I thought fuse panel was the first power source on this circuit.
To my understand power travels from fuse panel to turn signal switch on column, from the switch it goes to flasher relay, from flasher it goes to the lights... or am I mistaken?
Any suggestions please?

Correct, there are no fuses for the light bulbs themselves, just the Flasher unit
Wiring diagram below

Fuse 10 in cab fuse box powers the turn signals but only with Key On
Fuse 21 in cab fuse box powers the 4-way flashers, but has 12volts all the time since its an emergency switch

See if 4-ways work, as said fuse 21, which is powered full time by fuse 1 in engine fuse box, which also powers starter circuit
4-ways use the same wires from turn signal stalk(multi-function switch) out to the 4 corners
But 4-way are always connected, turn signal activation requires mechanical switch inside the stalk to make and break contacts, so can wear out

There is just the one flasher unit that does both turn and 4-way, if it fails you can lose both, turn and 4-way, but............can also just lose one of these
So usually the first stop is the Flasher unit

The most common failure is the Multi-function switch as its the only "moving part" of the system besides the Flasher

He does get the fuses wrong, 3 and 7 are for TRAILER light wiring
10 and 21 are the correct fuses to check


Just FYI
1993-1999 Rangers have separate turn signal bulbs in the rear
1983-1992 and 2000-2011 Rangers do not, brake and turn share same bulb(filament)

Thanks so much for your insights and info. I figure it must be the flasher now since checking the fuses you mention are all powered and good. The blinker switch is all that's left. The head and tail lights work despite sharing bulbs with both the turn and hazard lights. She starts and goes as normal. Must be the blinker switch.
What did you mean by multifunction switch? Is that the flasher or something else? Thanks again.

I finally got her fixed yesterday after being sold the wrong part and having to go back to the parts house 4 times to get this done. In the end I had to give 'them' the right part number; then all I got was an aftermarket cross reference without the side shields. ..Well it was half the cost of the dealer part so what can I say, it worked :rolleyes:
