1999 2.5 frame with 3.0 motor

I thought this was gona be an easy swap after the trans and motor bolted right up and pluged right in after i got a late 97 3.0 ecm well after the list of problems that have ben fixed and some need to be fixed but who needs power steering. Well any way my real question is why is my motor idiling like a top but soon as i get above 1500 rpm she starts missing and black smokin i believe my windows are tented so looks black and hardly any power the motor ran smooth and perfect in the mazda b 3000 i pulled it from i put it through the test before switchin it so why am i havin theese problems im about to give up also my water seems to not be flowing after a 30 min run with new pump and thermastat still shown cool i did take out the heater vaccume switch and direct line it any and all help appreciated

if i remember correctly. 97 earlier are return fuel system and 98 newer are returnless. at least on the 4.0s they are like that. so they runn different psi fuel system and regulators. did you pull the motor from a 97 as well?

No the motor is from a 99 b 3000 wit return fuel line and my 2.5 frame has return fuel idk where it hooks are how it works but theres 2 lines on both tanks someone said it might be my egr are stuck rings???
