I am needing to replace my air conditioning evaporator while the engine is out(easier access). Wondering if one from a 1999 is compatible?

They changed the connection style between 97 and 98, (got rid of the spring lock and keeper system and put in a reverse torx bolt setup to connect it to the a/c lines) so unfortunately, no it won't work :( . However, a new evap is under 100 bucks on Rock Auto, and I would probably pay that extra money for a new part in that scenario.
