Hello,
I have a code P1443 “Evap Emission Ctrl System Ctrl Valve” on my 1995 Ford Ranger 2.3L 4 cylinder. A few years back I replaced the fuel filler neck and gas cap due to a leak, so it’s doubtful my problem is there. Usually this is the purge valve/solenoid and I replaced this part just as a wild guess because it was cheap but code still came on again after about 75 miles. All the hoses look good in this area, no leaks that I can see. I’ve heard it could also be the purge valve sensor above it, or the vapor canister. Any troubleshooting tips? Parts are cheap but I know replacing parts blindly can get expensive quick.
