Installing forged internals in a motor that's going to be boost limited by its antiquated management system is like insisting on an 8k definition TV to play super Nintendo games on, honestly. Unless those stock pistons are widely regarded as being "glass" they would likely survive just fine at what you want to run for boost and the increase in power said boost pressure will give you (motor made 100hp stock, 6-7 psi would therefore bring that to around 145hp)..with 91+ octane of course.
Doing what you want to do correctly.. which.. by your statement of "its my daily, want to drive it a long time".. would require you do it correctly.. is going to call for the 800$ management setup, forged internals, AND the fancy gas.
Doing it correctly would pay dividends all around... spending money on just a turbo kit and forged Internals (not cheap) for a measly 50hp... really.. its like buying the wife/girlfriend an upgrade from A cups to DD's and then NOT suffocating yourself in them. Why bother?
