My credo
Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
Those were the ones I looked at that fit a Ranger. Not because I’m in the market. Just out of morbid curiosity.
Morbid curiosity is a good way to put it lol. The ones I looked at last year were 30-40k+.

Looking at the prices of new slide ins recently, I can thoroughly understand why he is so dedicated in fixing this one up. Man are they expensive!
Really I don't have a ton of money in fixing it up.

Sheet of plywood, epoxy, screws etc. Just a fair bit of time. With "life" getting in the way that is kind of hard to come by. And now it is stupid hot out which adds to the fun.

Most newer ones have a queen sized bed which would be nice. But then they would neither be built the same month I was born or be shown in the back of a first generation in the brochure.

For updates I worked on wiring and noticed I have another broken clearance light last night and got the covers put back on the cushions after washing them.

Do you plan on keeping this thing entirely retro or are you gonna do any fancy modernizing on the inside?

Strongly considering adding A/C, on the fence about a real sink with an electric pump and hot water.

I am going to use it before I decide on the sink though, it very well may be a non issue.

Otherwise keeping it period looking.

Tonight I vaccumed it out and reinstalled the lower bunk slide out.

Also learned that it either had a two post table or someone moved the base for what it has (my guess)

While vacuuming I noticed there is a second set of holes in the linoleum.

Eh sinks are useless but I'd definitely want AC if only just a little portable unit to throw in during the summer.

I need to research a/c units more.

The roof can't take a rooftop (weight) and I really hate to replace my cute little back window with an ugly window unit. And the hole would have to be enlarged and you know the wall will need reframed to carry the weight...

Electric vent fan is supposed to make a huge difference too.

Maybe a small roll around a/c unit... but that would take up a decent chunk of your limited floor space. But if you run it when you are sleeping only and stow it for the day... that might be an option

I found these clearance lights on ebay, same look as the original Bargmans which is nice when a guy replaces them as he goes. Cheap too.

So I snag two red ones, I need a light for the front and rear of the right side. I have a full set of amber lenses and need more reds so easy lens swap, no biggie.

So my reject tractor I use to test my camper lights was dead so I did the right thing and wired them up anyway.

Boil the battery awhile and test tonight... awesome. The leds are colored too.

Most on the front work until I put the covers on so I have that going for me. I think it is going to just get fully converted to led... I despise this style of light that basically only works when it wants to.

So yeah, all the lights have power and ground, most even work at any given time.

I went LED on my trailer and have been very happy. I also upgraded the wiring and covered all of it with corrugated wire loom and electrical tape. And all the lights now have plugs so they can easily be disconnected and worked on or replaced as needed. My light troubles went away after that.
